Plant these flowers to attract pollinators and other beneficial insects

Tue, 2025-04-01 12:30

How to decide if an expense is a ‘need’ or a ‘want’

Mon, 2025-03-31 06:00
Q: Like many Canadians, my partner and I are feeling the stress of everything that’s going on and it has been taking a toll on our mental health. We used to be out and about with friends all the time, but now everyone's keeping a lower profile. On top of that, my partner's job is a bit up in the air with the potential tariffs, and the idea of relying on just my income is concerning. We do have some savings, which we were hoping to use for a wedding or down payment, but we're ready to use it for living expenses if we have to. To protect our savings as much as we can, we figured we’d better get more serious about budgeting. After doing some online research, we settled on a method that seemed like a good fit for us – we're not big on super strict tracking. We've been using it for a couple of months now, and it's generally been working out pretty well. But we’re wondering, how can we decide better between needs and wants when the expense falls kind of in between? ~Marcie Read More
